Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 14, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains what data Routrly (operated by [COMPANY LEGAL NAME]) collects, why, and how it's used — both about you as a Routrly customer, and about visitors who click your bio page or Smart Links.
1. Information you provide
- Account details: email address, name, username, and password.
- An optional avatar image, if you upload one for your bio page.
- Content you create: bio page text, link titles and destination URLs, routing rule conditions, and workspace/team member information.
- Billing information, if you upgrade to PRO — collected and stored directly by our payment processor, Stripe. Routrly itself never stores your card number.
2. Information collected automatically
When someone visits your bio page or clicks a Smart Link, we record click and page-view analytics on your behalf: a coarse, IP-derived location (country/region), device type, browser, and referrer or campaign (UTM) parameters. IP addresses are used at request time for this classification and for bot/abuse-pattern detection; geolocation is computed entirely in-process from a bundled database, not by sending visitor IP addresses to a third-party geolocation service.
3. How we use this information
- To operate your account, bio page, and Smart Links.
- To show you analytics about your own links and pages.
- To send account-related email: email verification, password reset, and workspace invitations.
- To process payments and manage PRO subscriptions.
- To detect and prevent abuse, and to enforce our Terms of Service.
4. Who we share it with
We share data only with the service providers needed to run Routrly:
- Stripe — payment processing for PRO subscriptions.
- Resend — delivery of transactional email (verification, password reset, invitations).
- Object storage (S3-compatible) — storage of uploaded avatar images.
- Error tracking (optional) — if configured, crash and error reports may be sent to our error-tracking provider to help us fix bugs.
We do not sell your personal data, or a bio-page visitor's data, to third parties.
5. Data retention and deletion
Deleting your account from Settings permanently removes your bio page, links, Smart Links, workspace data, and analytics from our database. An uploaded avatar is also deleted from storage. This action cannot be undone. [Specific retention periods for backups and legally-required records: TO BE DEFINED].
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You can exercise most of these directly from your account settings, or by contacting us using the support address in the footer below. [Jurisdiction-specific rights, e.g. GDPR/CCPA: TO BE DEFINED].
7. Cookies
Routrly uses a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies on the Routrly app itself. [If cookies are added to public bio pages or Smart Link redirects in the future, this section will be updated accordingly].
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date above.
9. Contact
Questions about this policy, or requests relating to your data, can be sent to the support address linked in the footer below.
